Jann Klose reveals the music video for his latest single “Pour The Champagne”.
Filmed at The Cutting Room in New York City, one of Jann’s favourite NYC live music venues, the video was directed by Jeremiah Briley from SwellyOD production company.
“Director Jeremiah Briley, co-producer John Mazlish and myself wanted to create a setting at a party or celebration that involved different people singing along to the song. We invited friends and fans along to be a part of the music video and asked them to dress up for a special event!” and Jann had a great time filming the video with the entire cast and crew.
There was also a time crunch on how long they had the venue available for the shoot, but everything worked out well. Jann shares more, saying: “It came together really fast! We really only shot for about 3 to 4 hours. Jeremiah Briley was great to work with and really was instrumental in making this happen so quickly. As mentioned, we didn’t have a lot of time and a lot could have gone wrong but everyone involved was amazing to work with.”
Jann wrote and recorded the single with Karen Zoid, who features on the track. The two met at a BMI songwriters camp in Cape Town back in 2016 and came up with “Pour The Champagne” on the final day of the camp. When asked if writing together came easy, Jann replies: “It did… eventually! We had a rough start to the day, I remember. Then all of a sudden, I had this chorus melody and hook and it came together really fast. RJ (Benjamin) being around and available was a huge help in us getting to the point of finishing the song and getting a good demo recording of it done the same day.”
