East London born and raised singer-songwriter, JONES continues to showcase her extraordinary voice with the release of her brand new single ‘Something ‘Bout Our Love’, out now through 37 Adventures.
Co-written by JONES and Isabella Summers (Florence and The Machine), ‘Something ‘Bout Our Love’, sees JONES find a home inside the rumbling soundscape fashioned by electro-house producer Tieks. This is the singer’s most club-ready track to date, and Tieks’ production kicks her ethereal electronics into high gear marking a notable shift in JONES’ musical craft.
The video for ‘Something ‘Bout Our Love’ sees creative director and photographer William Baker helm the director’s chair for the first time – best known for his indelible professional relationship with Kylie Minogue.
There is something truly unique about JONES. Beautifully captivating, she’s the type of artist that makes you forget about anything else in the room. Raised on a diet of soul and R&B, JONES made her entrance to the scene in early 2015, uploading her debut track, ‘Deep’ to SoundCloud and drawing comparisons with the news breed of artists merging electronic stylings and soul influences such as The XX and Lykke Li.
‘Something ‘Bout Our Love’ follows the release of her acclaimed debut album ‘New Skin’, that carries credits from the likes of Lana Del Rey collaborator Justin Parker, Savages producer and The XX mixer Rodaidh McDonald, Sam Smith co-writer Tourist and AK Paul.
The single ‘Indulge’ became a huge airplay hit that was A-listed at BBC Radio 1Xtra. This year, JONES followed it with her stunning Acoustic EP, cementing her status as a vital young artist who always leaves you wanting more. To date JONES has had over 50 Million Spotify streams and in 2016, Spotify listeners streamed a massive 124 years’ worth of JONES music.
She’s already performed on ‘Later…with Jools Holland’, and sold out a string of live dates including renowned London venues Oslo, Hoxton Hall and the ICA. On November 29th, JONES is set to play a headline show at London’s Omeara . A sign of her enduring quality and immediate likeability, not only has she got the enthusiastic support from fans and the online world, she also has a notable supporter in musician Sam Smith.
There’s no doubt that JONES is a force to be reckoned with. In a world in which the persona of a musician is planned and micromanaged to the tightest degree, JONES feels refreshing, real and immediately relatable.
