On the day they release their fourth album Superscope through Sunday Best Recordings, sibling trio Kitty, Daisy & Lewis share the video for their new track Black Van.
Taken from the album and written by elder sister Daisy who features on lead vocals ably supported by Kitty on drums and Lewis on guitar – simply and wonderfully shot by photographer, director Steve Guillick it was one the original tracks recorded in the Superscope sessions and whilst written on a piano now finds itself based around the band’s musical core of guitar, bass and drums providing a more dynamic version.
The story behind the track isn’t as simple as the title may suggest as Daisy explains; “I got with the guitarist in our support band and consequently had a child with him. They were driving a black van and it’s simply about that. We’d get to a venue and I’d be like where are they, when are they gonna turn up?”
The band’s latest track Slave is currently streaming via Spotify or YouTube
Kitty, Daisy & Lewis embark on a run of European shows in October and November.
