MAWAT, the gold awarded rap artist, who was recently signed to Gallo Record Company, and also received a gold plaque for his smash hit song ‘Inanda’ off his album ‘Peer Pressure’ in November 2020 is set to shake things up by dropping an unbelievable 16 music videos all within a one-month period this March.
‘Peer Pressure’ available HERE…
The campaign, which will launch on 1st March 2021, will see the popular yellow clad rapper undertaking what can be described as a video marathon that has never been attempted in South Africa Before, with 4 music videos per week being released from Monday to Thursday each week.
Music videos will be shared from YouTube and the official MAWAT Facebook page, and each video will be accompanied by a documentary-styled explainer video from MAWAT (introducing and explaining each song/music video) as well.
The highlight of the #MawatVideoMarathon will be a unique 80-minute screening with all the music videos and the accompanying explainer videos played back-to-back at the end of the 4 weeks campaign period.
MAWAT and his team are excited for this challenge, and MAWAT shares more on this unique campaign, “We should never be scared of being different or being the ‘first to do it’, as this is how we discover new things and push innovation forward.”
He adds, “What seems crazy now will become a norm in the future. This campaign is set to dare other SA artist to create more and increase our artistry… make sure you be part of this campaign, make sure you part of history, our musical African history!”
With his future looking so bright, we cannot wait to see what else this up-and-coming young artist has in store for us in the future.
