2020 has been a challenging year for everyone. During the toughest of times, while the country has been under lockdown due to the Coronavirus pandemic, Paxton has found new strength within herself and brings to creative life one of her strongest releases to date – her brand-new single ‘Undeniable’.
“With the song ‘Undeniable’ I took a totally different writing approach and decided to write/sing about what I was going through at the moment. I feel like I’ve grown so much not only as an individual but as an artist during this tough year and I wanted to shed some light on it,” explains Paxton when asked what ‘Undeniable’ is about and what inspired the single.
She continues, saying “I wanted to share this song with my supporters to bring them along on my journey of introspection and self-love, in hopes that they will be able to relate, be inspired and enjoy the song. This song was written by myself and Caleb Williams and it’s about someone stepping into their power, finally realizing their worth, value, potential and being bold about it. Having surety and confidence within themselves, and being proud of it! This song is about being courageous, being confident and being bold with a little bit of sass, and knowing that it’s okay to give yourself some credit every once in a while!”
Paxton has always enjoyed working with different producers and challenging her creative comfort zone. On ‘Undeniable’ she recorded with three amazing producers – DUNN, Kenjay Beats and Soulful Clay. Her songwriting partner on the track, Caleb Williams, is a writer she has worked with many times including her previous hit single ‘good company’ with Jaydon Lewis, which reached #1 on a number of local radio stations.
Paxton has crafted in an incredible career in the three years since her Idols SA win. 2018 saw Paxton hit the International scene immediately, with a performance as part of the World Children’s Fund in Sweden, and receiving an ambassadorship from Queen Silvia of Sweden. She then went on to perform at The White Nights of St Petersburg, sharing the stage with the likes of Seal, Sophie Ellis-Bextor and Kool and The Gang. 2019 she went into preparations for Musexpo in Los Angeles, where she performed for some of the biggest names in the Global Industry. May 2019 saw her return to Sweden to perform once again for the Queen, and continue her work as the “You, Me: Equal Rights Ambassador”. She was also excited to head off to India in August 2019, as a UNESCO Ambassador of Kindness. Her Lyric video for ‘Angifuni’ has also been viewed over 2 Million times.
