Wandile Mbambeni today releases his brand new music video for ‘Tell Me’. He has a way of pulling you into his songs with his soulful voice and powerful lyrics, and ‘Tell Me’ celebrates the essence of this spellbound song writing. “This song is about missing someone you very well know you shouldn’t be missing, but you do. It’s about those thoughts in your head that you’re fighting. I was trying to express those thoughts, ‘have I lost my mind?’.
Finding peace in the insanity, finding comfort in the questions that won’t be asked or heard,” and Wandile may not have lost his mind, but his listeners are lost in the beauty of this incredible song.
The music video was shot and edited by Jono Kriyakou and filming took place in Johannesburg in Norwood and Soweto. Wandile delves into the making of the video, saying “The concept of the video was to express the vulnerable thoughts and attach them to a story we can understand. Visually, I wanted to recreate the setting that would take me back to when I wrote, alone with my thoughts.”
