Upcoming recording artist Boipelo Molotsi yesterday released his new single and gives us a glimpse into a refreshed form of Gospel.
Molotsi, who goes by Da MOG (man of God), is celebrating the launch of “Whole World” – a Trap-infused gospel track from his upcoming E.P., God First. “Whole World” came together when Da MOG was freestyling on an up-tempo beat.
The original song, which goes by the same name, kept popping into his head and he decided to ride that wave instead of working against it. The song is instantly recognizable, and everybody can sing-along to it. Harnessing the power of familiarity, Da MOG wanted people to connect to the track but also open up to a different sound in the gospel arena.
A sound that leans heavily on Trap music, catchy hooks, and an underlying hip hop tone. The release date for the single has been set for the 18th of September 2018.
